"Tybee Twilight" was photographed in December of 2019.
Twilight is the time of day after the sun goes down but before it becomes completely dark. The sun is below the horizon, but some light is still able to light the sky. This photograph was taken about a half hour after sunset. It was starting to get pretty dark already, however, some light was being provided by the nearly full moon which had already risen.
The shadows that you seen on the first two pylons in the foreground are coming from the nearly full moon. In the sky, the brightest looking 'star' is actually the planet Venus and just above that is the planet Saturn. The Old Tybee Pier is on the left side and you can see Little Tybee across the body of water which is the Back River. This is the mouth of the Back River which empties into the Atlantic Ocean to the east.
I think this is a peaceful scene which will make an awesome fine art piece for anyone who loves Tybee Island, Coastal Georgia, or interesting sunset scenes.
