"The Swing" on the south end of Tybee Island, Georgia and photographs of "The Swing" bring up more fond memories for people viewing my photographs than many of the others do. It is a great place to sit and relax and watch the ocean and the beach, take in a great sunset, or view the stars at night. I would imagine that many fond memories on this swing are perhaps shared by a friend who might also have been sitting here, on "The Swing", at the same time.
In the foreground of course, is the "The Swing" and the south beach of Tybee Island, Georgia. In the background to the left is the Atlantic Ocean. Toward the center is the mouth of the Tybee Creek, and across the Tybee Creek, is Little Tybee Island which is one of the remote uninhabited islands of Coastal Georgia.
I like this photo of "The Swing" because even though it was a clear sky and there are no dramatic clouds, it has the sunset peeking through the sea oats and sand dunes, creating a star burst of light and also casting some ambient light on the swing and sand behind the dunes.
