"Skidaway Marsh Trail Sunset" was photographed in May of 2017. I liked the bright orange sunset colors combined with the green marsh in this photograph. Skidaway Island, Georgia is the only place that I've ever been able to capture these two colors at sunset this vividly. (See "Skidaway Sunset" photographed over a year ago.) I also like the marsh trail leading into the sunset. This is not a human trail. More likely it is an animal trail where a racoon or some other animal goes out to the riverbank at night to look for food.
Skidaway Island is a developed inland barrier island on the south side of Savannah, Georgia. It is know for hosting one of the most affluent communities in the United States, The Landings. With a population of over 8,000 residents, it is one of the largest gated community in the United States as well and is well know for it's waterfront properties and golf courses. Skidaway Island is also home to the Skidaway Institute of Oceanography and public aquarium as well as the Skidaway Island State Park, the Rodney J. Hall public boat ramp, and a public fishing pier.
In the photo above you may be able to see the blur of headlights of the cars coming across the causway onto Skidaway Island just at the tree line. I think this will make a great piece of fine art wall art, if for nothing else than the vivid colors of the marsh and sunset.
