"Peaceful Sunrise" was photographed on Jekyll Island, Georgia at Driftwood Beach in early February 2018.
I liked the peaceful look of the clouds and the ocean in this scene as well as the lite pink and hints of orange in the clouds before the sun came up. I also liked the color reflection in the water.
Driftwood Beach is known for it's photogenic driftwood trees that litter the beach there. The driftwood comes from erosion on the beach and the encroachment of the ocean into what used to be a forest. With two very strong hurricanes (Matthew and Irma) hitting the area over the last couple of years, the erosion process has increased and some driftwood was swept out to sea and others have been pushed into the treeline. However, the beach is still very worthwhile to visit, especially for photographers.
I think "Peaceful Sunrise" will make a great fine art wall art piece for anyone who likes Jekyll Island, the Golden Isles, and Coastal Georgia Fine Art Prints!
