"Jekyll Island Sunset" was photographed on Jekyll Island in April 2018.
On the south and north end of the Coastal Georgia islands, sometimes you can get some awesome sunset photographs. Most of the time what you see from Coastal Georgia are the sunrises because most of the beaches face the east. However in some locations, such as this location on the south end of Jekyll Island, an awesome sunset can be viewed.
In this photo, the sun was very bright and there were not too many clouds that day, so I used the sand dunes, tree, and picket fence to frame the sunset. I was rather pleased with the results and I think the tree, picket fence, and sand dunes add to the sunset and lead the viewer into the sunset from the left and the path in the sand on the right also lead the viewer into the sunset from the right.
I think "Jekyll Island Sunset" will make a great fine art wall art piece for anyone who loves Coastal Georgia, the Golden Isles, or Jekyll Island beach art.
