With help from the Tybee Cottage Art Gallery and Hotel Tybee, I'll be presenting...
Have you ever wondered how to take those awesome, colorful, clear and tack sharp sunrise and sunset photos without silhouetting the foreground or blowing out the colorful highlights? How about those Milky Way shots that seem to capture every star in the sky? Hello, my name is Jamie Anderson and I hope to teach you everything I’ve learned about how to take and post process these amazing photographs. I hope to teach you in just one weekend the Skills, tips, and tricks that I’ve learned and worked to improve over the last 10-20 years.
In the Tybee Island – Sunsets to Sunrise workshop, we will concentrate on how to take and post process sunrise and sunset photography using a manual High Dynamic Range (HDR) process that allows you to take full control of the process from start (capturing the photos) to end (post processing a masterpiece) using your camera and Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Not every photograph needs HDR, so I will also cover when to use it and when not to use it. When HDR is used, I will cover everything from importing your photos into Lightroom to creating and editing luminosity masks in Photoshop and all the other adjustments that you can use to create a masterpiece. For the night photography, again I will concentrate on how to take and post process night photography and cover everything from start to finish using your camera and Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
The Tybee Island – Sunsets to Sunrise workshop will take place at Hotel Tybee just across from the Tybee Island Pier and Pavilion. The dates are March 19-21. This workshop is for the intermediate to advanced photographer with some knowledge of manual camera settings and post processing in Lightroom and Photoshop who is ready to take their photography to the next level. At this time, the workshop will be limited to 12 attendees. You’ll also receive a workshop discount code for the Hotel Tybee.

Hello There! So, here’s my quick story. I grew up in Savannah, Georgia and have lived my entire life near the surrounding rivers and protected barrier islands which make up Coastal Georgia. Fishing and camping in the area were experiences that I enjoyed with my family from childhood into adult life. The cities along the coast of Georgia are very beautiful and rich in history, southern culture, charm, and all sorts of 'good ole southern fun'. This, and the adventure of exploring the natural forests, 100 miles of pristine island beaches (some of which are remote and undeveloped), the rivers, wildlife, and the beauty that can be found here is what attracts me and many other tourists, vacationers, nature enthusiasts, fishers, hunters, and photographers, into this area. This is what I love about our home, Coastal Georgia and it is truly an inspiration for my fine art photography. My own love of nature and outdoor skills were honed when I volunteered as a scout leader for over two decades and I still enjoy fishing, camping, and photographing the outdoors today. I love Coastal Georgia and have dedicated my creative fine art photography efforts to capturing the beauty and charm of this area. I am a Coastal Georgia landscape and nature photographer by choice. My goal is to help you create an inspired, exciting home or office space, full of Coastal Georgia memories, that will energize you every time you enter it.
