This photo includes the Forsyth Fountain spraying it's water with the Oak trees that line and cover the walk ways, the park benches, the old looking lamp posts, the wrought iron fence decorated for Christmas, and yes, that is two lovers in front of the fountain.
I was able to get this photo by being patient, calm, and very still as I had to take time to get close enough for a good shot...
"Fuzzy Sunny" is a sunflower that was growing on the side of my house. It sprouted from some bird seed that fell from the bird feeder. I let it grow and it produced this wonderful sunflower.
The beautiful golden glow of the sunrise just above the horizon, the light of the sun reflecting in the water, the wave action in the water, the clouds, and the driftwood ...
Sunshine and Driftwood on the Rocks. It's a wonderful feeling, isn't it?
A few sun rays can be seen coming through the clouds. It is a peaceful scene that brings out the beauty of the natural beach environment.
Toward the beach you can see where the waves were breaking close to the beach causing the line of white foam in the Atlantic Ocean. On the right in the foreground is the Tybee Pier made of wood which sits on cement pilings. At the end of the pier is a cover area.
I love the way the sea oats on top of the sand dunes are reaching up to tickle the purple night sky and are aligned pretty well with the Milky Way.
The Tybee Lighthouse is Georgia's tallest lighthouse. This shows the Milky Way in the background.
This marina has been a hub for the shrimping industry and shrimp boats for many many years. Pictured from right to left are the Agnes Marie, the Margaret Ann, and the Lisa Suzanne shrimp boats.
Shrimping is still a huge industry in Darien and a big part of the culture there.
It is pictured here in stunning black and white coming in from a day of shrimping in the Caliboque Sound. Plenty of birds and even a dolphin can be seen at the stern of the boat waiting for scrap fish to be dumped overboard. Out in front toward the bow of the boat a lighthouse can be seen on the far shore. It is the Cockspur Island lighthouse near Fort Pulaski.
The American Bald Eagle is a symbol of inspiration, honesty, integrity, and strength. It is also the symbol of our country, The United States of America.
They are one of only two species of pelicans that plunge dive into the water to catch fish to east. The other is the Peruvian Pelican in South America.
These two seemed content to hang around the nest and wait for an adult to feed them for now.
