"When you wish upon a Star" was photographed in May of 2017...
"When you wish upon a Star" was photographed in May of 2017. It was photographed from the Tybee Island pier during an announced scheduled power outage. This power outage made it even darker on Tybee which is what you want for night photography. During the photography shoot, I was able to capture this chance shooting star. I saw several more shooting stars that night, however, I think this is the best capture of the shooting star with the Milky Way.
It reminds me of the song "When you with upon a Star" written by Leigh Harline and Ned Washington for Walt Disney's 1940 rendition of "Pinocchio". It has since become an iconic song used by Disney in many of the openings of Disney anthology television series and as an accompaniment of the Disney Pictures opening logos. Linda Ronstadt also recorded the song on her platinum certified album "For Sentimental Reasons".
