"Anhinga in the Trees" was photographed in June of 2023 on Skidaway Island, GA.
Anhingas are a bird that can swim and hunt fish under water very well. Their nickname is the "snake bird" because when they are swimming across the top of the water, only their neck and head are above the water making them look like a snake moving across the water.
I liked the pose of this bird as I took the photo of it in the live oak tree with some Spanish Moss hanging down.
